The Language Club held its first regular meeting October 19, 1920. Members consisted of faculty members from the language departments as well as other liberal arts departments. In 1954, the Indiana University School of Education partnered with the Prasan Mitr College of Education in Bangkok and the Thai Ministry of Education to develop programs in teacher education in Thailand.
